The aftermath of the Dana Aircrash

I attended the funeral ceremony of some victims of the Dana Crash tragedy on Friday August 17 and the reality of the saying of the wisest King came home to me; its better to go to the house of mourning than a place of celebration.

Despite the fact that the people involved were young and had great futures ahead, I learnt many things from their short lives. Let me list some:
1. Life is highly overrated. Human life is like grass. One moment its blossoming and bright but can suddenly disappear in a flash...just like that! "So what?!" you may ask. It just means we must take the time we have been given more seriously and live purposefully.

2. You've got only one life, you'd better live it fully & completely. There's no point procrastinating.

3. Life is a lease. We will all have to give an account of every breathe & special ability we have been given.

4. We all have equal opportunities to succeed or make excuses for not succeeding. The decision is ours to make not another's.

5. Once we're dead and gone, people won't forget the ways we treated them or the things we did that influenced them, positively or otherwise.

So let's get our priorities right and begin to really live our lives PURPOSEFULLY. You never can tell what will be written about you when you leave.
